It takes all kinds to make up the world, they say.
Facebook is a very interesting platform, even intriguing, you might say. It's the place that gathers all kinds of people, displaying all manner of characters, just like the real world. Yet, Facebook tolerates them all.
Some are interesting, some are not; some are stupid and they display their stupidity; some are fools and their foolishness manifests in their posts; some are quarrelsome and they easily pick fights; and some are intelligent and very useful members of the platform from whom you can't help but gain from their posts; And yet others are a combination of all or some of the character traits above and more.
But the characters that baffle me the most are the intellectually arrogant members of this platform - and the arrogance is glaring. They think they know it all. They delve into anything under the sun. They poke their noses where they're not wanted. They criticise everybody, yet they're incapable of taking criticism. Sometimes a flash of maturity overcomes them and yet at other times they're almost childish in their reasoning. They tend to be abusive if it catches their fancy. They only thrive on sycophancy, with their followers cheering them up to high heavens which further bolsters their over bloated egos. Facebook tolerates them all and gives them a chance to do their thing.
Why can't you be like Facebook and tolerate all shades of opinion and interests? If you don't like my posts, simply ignore them; if you're irked by them, unfriend me. Or you can do the worst and block me...so what? It can only save me some irritation. We probably never even met... Easy come easy go...
