I have driven for more than 2,000 kilometers in the last few days, which is quite a record, even for me...
I started out all alone, from Maiduguri, through Damaturu, Potiskum, in Yobe State; Gamawa, Katagum, in Bauchi State; Hadejia, Gumel, Ɓabura, in Jigawa State; Babban Mutum, Baure, Sandamu, Daura, then Katsina, a distance of about 700 kilometres. Spent two days in Katsina before proceeding to Bakori, 182 kilometres. After two days, I proceeded to Kaduna, 150 kilometres, and spent one night. The following day, I went on to Abuja, then Keffi, about 250 kilometres. Spent three days there, returned to Abuja, 50 kilometres, for one night, went on to Jos, about 300 kilometres and slept there. The following day, I drove to Bauchi, passed on to Darazo, Kari, Potiskum, Damaturu and back to Maiduguri, more than 500 kilometres...Wow! Sounds like Shata's song, "Yawon Duniya Mafarki Ne A Tafi A Dawo". Can you beat that?
