In the early hours of Wednesday, November 7, 2018, just a few minutes to 2:00 a.m., Mubarak Ahmad was making free calls when he saw a sneak thief in my house in Katsina! He has scaled the fence and was on his way out when Mubarak shouted, "Thief!".
He immediately jumped and caught the top of the wall and tried to hoist himself up, but fell down. Mubarak continued to shout and came out to chase him. The thief got up and managed to scramble up the wall and landed outside and ran with Mubarak behind him. He managed to escape without stealing anything. He was wearing slippers, a white jeans trousers and pink pullover which covered his face.
The maxim, "Every advantage has its own disadvantage", can in this case be turned the other way round, "Every disadvantage has its own advantage". If Mubarak wasn't making free calls at that time, he'd have been fast asleep and he wouldn't have seen the thief.
A few days ago, a number of such sneak thieves got into my neighbor's house through the ceiling. But he woke up and chased them out before they stole anything.
And several years ago they got into my house while it was raining heavily, broke the glass window of my car and ransacked the vehicle. When they couldn't find anything of value they left the car open in the heavy rain.
