A friend of mine, Kabir Yar'adua, alias "Infront", a fellow retiree, has decided to "copy" me by not being a "lazy retiree". He's cultivated an orchard that's made my little farm pale into insignificance.
In the orchard is a combination of assorted crops and fruits that's the envy of many a retiree: he's planted fruits such as mangoes, oranges, guavas and some others whose names I don't even know. For vegetables, he has spinach, moringa, tomatoes and a few "Rama" plants. He also planted crops such as beans and groundnut.
On the far end of the orchard there's a shed constructed to house a few herds of cattle, sheep and goats. And scattered inside the orchard are quite a number of local chickens that roam about freely.
Mind you, it's not the size of the farm that matters, but the quality of the products.
No, Infront has made himself provision for food in the future, and even make a little folding money.
When I grow up, I'd like to be like uncle Infront... 😜
