Alhamdu lillah! I married off my daughter, Dr. Mauludatu Ahmad, today, without fanfare, without any fuss, but in accordance with the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and in deference to the COVID-19 protocols.
Unlike the two daughters I previously married off, this time around, no invitation was extended to anyone as the decision was as quick and as sudden as a shot in the back.
The occasion was supposed to be for fixing a wedding fatiha date - and it was... But no one bargained for fixing the same day as the wedding fatiha day. It turned out to be that same afternoon...man proposes and God disposes.
As it happened, only those who prayed in the mosque, Masjid Bani Coomassie, GRA, Katsina, at the time, witnessed the occasion, outside the immediate family representatives, of course.
I, therefore, apologise to those who genuinely wish they had graced the occasion.
