DOING THE RIGHT THING

I wonder why people hate obeying simple rules...

I was stopped by a red light at a roundabout at Kofar-Kwaya, Katsina, today and impatient drivers were honking their horns and urging me to beat the traffic lights and pass. Of course, I stayed put until the light turned to green.

The irony is that while I was given the green light to proceed, the incoming traffic that was given the red light to stop and allow me to pass, refused to give way...

So, in Nigeria, even if you want to obey simple rules and regulations, people tend to push you to do wrong. This is a reflection of what happens in every sphere of human endeavor in Nigeria. We sincerely need total reorientation.

Yet people will sit down and be abusing leaders and accusing them of doing wrong while they can't do simple things right, themselves...
