APC in Katsina State has alerted security agencies and the INEC of an alledged  PDP plan to bring in political thugs from Kano and Zamfara states to disrupt next Saturday's gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections.

The State Director-General APC Campaign Council, Arch. Ahmed Musa ĆŠangiwa, made the disclosure at a news briefing on Tuesday in Katsina.

Ahmed Dangiwa, said that the alert became necessary so that security agencies would do everything possible to ensure peaceful conduct of the election.

The DG pointed out that the APC had peacefully conducted its electioneering campaign in all the 361 wards across the 34 local government areas of the state without experiencing any hitch, as according to him the Party and its supporters are law abiding.

He cited example on what transpired on their way passing through Danmarke the hometown of the PDP gubernatorial Candidate in Kankara LGA, when the team was suddenly attacked by PDP thugs, as a result of which many were seriously injured and vehicles were wrecked.

ĆŠangiwa, who said next Saturday's election should be free and fair, said that APC was not afraid of its supporters as currently the party had won all the 3 Senatorial seats and 9 out of 15 House of Representatives seats. He said the remaining 6 seats would be challenged at the election petition tribunal.

Present at the briefing were the Commissioners of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ya'u Umar Gwajogwajo, Water Resources, Musa Adamu Funtua, as well as some members of the Media and Publicity Committee of the State APC Campaign Council.
