Former Katsina Radio GM Congratulates Katsina Governor-elect

Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, Katsina State Governor-elect

By Shehu Ibrahim Bakori

The elections are over and the winners have emerged. To Dikko Radda, congratulations on a victory well-deserved.

This outcome was fairly predictable to anyone who had been following the progress of the campaigns. Lovers of Katsina State must have prayed for this victory for many reasons, the strongest of which is the humility, faith and submission to the will of the Almighty which the APC candidate consistently demonstrated throughout the campaign period.

It has been a fairly decent campaign throughout, with focus on issues of development, rather than the ego- massaging and abusive posture of his opponents. Many in Katsina had never heard of Dikko Radda before the contest. But in the relatively short period of the campaigns, his voice, loud and clear, had resonated throughout the state. The credit for this is both from his personal appeal and sincerity, as well as the professional management of the campaign by his team.

His media managers have done an excellent job of honestly and openly answering questions regarding his personal and public conduct without the usual abuse and insults to the opposition or anyone asking such questions. It is to their credit that throughout the campaign, there was never any report of goofing, misconduct, scandal or misrepresentation of the candidate and his program for developing the state. The overall result is that at the time of the polls, the APC candidate was better known where it mattered, than his more reticent opponents or their roucous and abusive managers.

Malam Ahmed Abdulkadir, the Director, Media and Publicity of the Katsina APC Campaign Council,  congratulations to you, and members of the media committee like the GM Katsina State Radio, Abba Ɗaiyabu Safana, Nasiru Abdul, Kabir Abdullahi Abasaya, Adamu Ladan, the Secretary of the Strategic Committee of the Campaign Council, Abdul'aziz Lawal Ɗanyari and the rest. We are proud of what you have done and how you did it.
