The Publicity Sub-committee of the Main Organizing Committee for the Inauguration of the Katsina State Governor-elect, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, has commenced meeting to fashion out the publicity strategy for the inauguration.
The meeting was presided over by the Chairman of the Sub-committee, who is also the Commissioner of Information, Abdulkarim Yahaya Sirika.
The Director, Media and Publicity of the Katsina State APC Campaign Council, Ahmed Abdulkadir, who is the Deputy Chairman of the Publicity Sub-committee, was also in attendance.
The Secretary of the Sub-committee, also in attendance, is Adamu Salisu Ladan, while the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Sani Bala Kabomo, is a member of the Sub-committee.
Other members of the Sub-committee include the General Manager, GM, Katsina State Television, KTTV, Sani Garba Kuringafa and the General Manager, Katsina State Radio, Abba ÆŠaiyabu Safana, among others.
The terms of reference of the Sub-committee include: presenting the ceremony to the wider community; sensitizing the public about the ceremony across selected and credible media platforms, at pre-ceremony, during the event and post swearing-in; collaborating with the Venue Sub-committee where necessary, for a successful outing; proposing a budget for all outlined activities for consideration by the main committee; printing and distribution of the program of events.
The committee, which has two weeks within which to submit its report to the main committee, immediately broke up into four units and commenced work.
The units include that of Mainstream Media, to be headed by Ahmed Abdulkadir; New Media, to be headed by AbdulHadi Ahmad Bawa, SSA New Media to Governor Aminu Bello Masari; Outdoor and Promo, to be headed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Sani Bala Kabomo; as well as Inaugural Lecture, to be headed by Dr. Aminu Salisu Tsauri of Umaru Musa Ƴar'Adua University, Katsina.
Recall that the main committee is headed by the Commissioner for Water Resources, Musa Adamu Funtua.
