New Head of Service Appointed in Katsina As Permanent Secretaries Lose Positions

Usman Isyaku, Katsina Head of Service

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has appointed Usman Isyaku as the new Head of Service.

This is contained in a Press Release signed by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) Digital Media to the Governor, Isah Miqdad.

His appointment, which is contained in a letter signed by Governor Radda, takes immediate effect. Alhaji Isyaku was, until his appointment, the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Head of Service.

It could be recalled that the former Head of Service, Idris Tune, retired on May 29, 2023, after spending thirty-five years in service.

In another development, Governor Dikko Radda has directed all permanent secretaries in the state to vacate their offices and hand-over to the most senior directors in their ministries or departments.

A letter signed by the Director Human Resource in the office of the Head of Service, Ado Yahaya, which conveyed the directive, said all handing-over should be completed by Wednesday, June 14, 2023.

It could be recalled that all political appointees, including non-career permanent secretaries, had earlier been relieved of their appointments.
